A pann post claimed that Winter is a "Gangnam Beauty" after seeing the female idol's pictures at Paris Fashion Week. Immediately, MYs (aespa fandom) were quick to refute the claim.

The post calling Winter a "Gangnam Beauty" received mixed reactions as it garnered 654 upvotes and 469 downvotes.
In context, Gangnam Beauty is what Koreans call women that have done plastic surgery on their faces that they all look like the same person. Gangnam is a popular place where well-to-do people reside, and there are many women in the area who do adjustment to their physical appearances.
Because of this, MYs cannot accept the unbacked claim.

It is a battle between likes and downvotes in every comment as it almost always evens out. To MYs, being hated in pann is a sign of immense popularity.
On the other hand, there are a few comments agreeing with the post and saying that Winter indeed looks like a "Gangnam Beauty" in her recently-taken photos.

International MYs Come To aespa Winter's Defense
Meanwhile, international MYs and other K-pop fans are not agreeing with the post. Some are saying that it is only because of her makeup, because the following days, Winter did not look like that.
"It seems like the makeup contour on her nose is harsh"
"I wanted to point that out but I'm 100% sure people will claim we are delusional fangirls. I'm not saying she did or didn't get work done but it definitely looks more like harsh contour bc we got plenty of fan pics and it never looked like this before."

However, there are others who do agree she did get plastic surgery, but not to the point of calling her a "Gangnam Beauty."
