NCT Taeil Accidentally Follows WJSN SeolA on Instagram

On October 10, NCT Taeil became a hot topic online after he reportedly followed WJSN SeolA on Instagram that afternoon.

Initially, Taeil was following only 28 people including his NCT co-members, the group's choreographers and U-Know Yunho.

But fans who were actively observing Taeil's Instagram noticed the sudden addition to the number, and after checking it, the male idol added WJSN SeolA to his following list.

Since then, Taeil has reportedly withdrawn his "follow" within a short time. In other words, it is presumed to have occurred from a simple mistake.

NCT Taeil 'Accidentally' Following WJSN SeolA Worries NCTzens, Ujungs

Following this incident, it caused divided opinions from both internet users and K-pip enthusiasts, particularly from NCTzens (NCT fandom) and Ujungs (WJSN fandom).

Initially, NCT fans acted chill about it and even joked about Taeil mistaking SeolA for Jungwoo's real sister. As a brief context, the two idols were known for their striking resemblance that non-K-pop fans might mistake them for biological siblings.

However, other fans think that this is a big deal since it would probably lead to a dating rumor, and Ujungs were concerned that the one who will be affected most is SeolA.

As NCT is notorious for having sasaengs and akgaes, the female star fans are concerned that SeolA will receive hate and malicious comment once people try to look into the relationship between idols.

In fact, this is not the first time that a male idol mistakenly followed and unfollowed a female idol.

Earlier, Jeno, a member of the same group, also followed TWICE Mina's Instagram in August and canceled it in an hour. Later on, they were suddenly embroiled in a dating rumor.

Prior to then, BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie who are currently suffering from a huge dating rumor were initially embroiled in an incident where the male idol also canceled his follow after adding the Instagram account of Jennie. Since then, the dating rumor didn't leave them and even escalated to their personal information and data being hacked and leaked.

On the other hand, Taeil, who was born in 1994 and is 29 years old this year, is currently about to join the military. The exact date of enlistment is not known, but it is speculated that the timing of enlistment will be decided within this year (2022).
