Following a series of malicious content against IVE Jang Wonyoung, DIVEs (fandom) voiced out the need to take rough measures from Starship Entertainment, the idol's agency against a YouTuber.

In particular, Jang Wonyoung's overseas fans decided to take this matter to the company's attention by sending them its statement. In an online community, the content of the letter was shared.

Fans specifically referred to the infamous YouTuber "Sojang," notorious for posting videos about idol controversies and scandals. International fans added:

"They have been continuously spreading defamation and personal attacks on Jang Wonyoung over the past few years... Even Jang's family is being damaged."

The statement then stressed the need for Starship to take legal action to prevent more malicious content in the future.

"Starship Entertainment needs strict measures to prevent malicious acts from repeating. We need to initiate legal procedures without agreement and leniency for malicious perpetrators related to Jang Wonyoung."

We look forward to an update on the agency's legal action as soon as possible."

In particular, fans and supporters of the "ELEVEN" singer prior to this statement noticed the "obsession" of YouTuber Sojang over the 18-year-old star.

To prove this, fans provided screen captures of the list of videos uploaded by Sojang on their YouTube channel, "Talkdeok Prison Camp." Since September 25, Sojang consistently uploaded clips about Wonyoung till October 11.

The most recent issue they claim was that the young female idol is currently dating BIGBANG G-Dragon (34) just because of the latter's "mistake" of using her sticker. This caused a huge ruckus since their age gap is 16 years and Wonyoung is still a minor.

Amid this, Sojang claimed that Miu Miu let Wonyoung wear an outdated cardigan from the luxury brand's 2020 collection, pointing out that she can't wear runway clothes, unlike SNSD YoonA.

However, all of these contents turned out to be untrue as per the official and Miu Miu.

Regarding to taking legal action against malicious commenters, Starship Entertainment said in September:

"A complaint against chronic haters is still underway, and the case is facing a final sentence after being sentenced to six months in prison, restrictions on employment, and a sex crime site."

However, even after the agency's announcement, videos of malicious behavior that go beyond the limits of Sojang continue, and there are responses that it is urgent to come up with countermeasures.
