Dara Confesses Reason She Hasn't Released Solo Album Yet

On October 14, a video titled "Sandara Park/Rain's Kitchen," which made Sandara Park overeat was posted on the YouTube channel "Season B Season 3 EP.08."

In the show, Dara, known as a small eater appeared as a guest and overcame awkwardness between the K-pop icon and senior Rain over tasty food.

As the atmosphere became lighter, the two singers started to have a comfortable conversation and mentioned Sandara Park's solo release.

Rain initiated the topic, saying:

"As far as I know, all the other members have released albums recently, and Sandara is the only one left."

Sandara Park agreed and said:

"Yes, just me. So a lot of fans are waiting for me."

Rain then asked:

"What genre of music do you want to do?"

As this question appeared, Sandara Park hinted at the reason why she hasn't released her much-anticipated solo album yet, responding:

"That's the problem right now. I want to do a splendid performance like Uhm Jung Hwa, but if I do, then I have to do dance music."

Dara confessed that she's been worried about the genre adding:

"...But these days, I'm into sentimental vibes."

In the end, Dara asked for a piece of advice from Season B Season's subscribers. When the video was uploaded, a lot of internet users specially BLACKJACKs left comments such as:

• "Sandara Park is both cute, lovely and pretty. Do and make whatever you want with your album. If you do that, you will have no regrets and you can do it more passionately. Fans will also like it as long as you like it."

More About Dara Solo Album in 2022

In particular, Sandara Park originally debuted as a recording artist in the Philippines in 2004, through her self-titled album with five Filipino songs.

Later on, she moved back to Korea and debuted in the girl group 2NE1 in 2009 under YG Entertainment. While a lot of idols debuted as a soloist while still actively promoting in a group, Dara never had her solo album while under the company.

After leaving YG and transferring to Abyss Entertainment in September last year, she hinted that she was preparing for her solo music.

After a year, fans who are continuously waiting took to Twitter to ask Dara about updates on her solo. In response, the female idol attested to fans that she's aiming to release it by 2022 and that she's also working with a lot of people to achieve it.

Moreover, she also initially expressed concerns about whether to do a dance or a slow emotional track. Nevertheless, fans consistently affirmed that they will support her no matter what she does.
