Mark Shares How It Feels To Be an NCT Member— Here's What He Said

SM Entertainment revolutionized the Korean popular music landscape when the talent and entertainment empire debuted Neo Culture Technology or known as NCT - the only group so far to have an unlimited member scheme.

Currently, NCT has 23 members with three fixed sub-units - NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV, and a rotational unit NCT U.

Considering the number of members, fans assume that the group does not just embody talent diversity, but also personality and cultural variance as NCT is known to be one of the K-pop boy groups with numerous foreign members.

Have you ever wondered how it feels to be an NCT member? NCT's main rapper and main dancer, Mark, has something to say.

Mark 'Dignified' As NCT Member

NCT Mark proving he is a baddie not just in the music industry as he recently scored his solo debut as a magazine cover boy for the November issue of Harper's Bazaar. In this photoshoot, Mark showed different facets of his personality.

For the November issue, the theme was "No Boundary." As the Canadian rapper is immersed in sub-units such as NCT 127 and NCT Dream and he also completed the supergroup, SuperM, it is a no-brainer on how he can effortlessly navigate "youthful" and "matured" themes.

Additionally, being named as an ambassador of Polo Ralph Lauren, Mark dazed the fans with magazine photo teasers wearing the said luxury brand's line.

As he fronts the magazine, a full interview will be released upon the publication of the issue next month. However, snippets were shared as Mark talked about how it feels to be an NCT member and how he feels toward his members and fans.

"When I'm faced with a hardship in life, I believe that it's me who will ultimately catch myself. And my members. I'm positive that I was able to get to this point because I had my members. Lastly, you could think this is obvious, but I also sincerely think Seasony [NCT's fan club nickname]. Those people have to be there in the first place for us to exist and for me to exist." - Mark

Additionally, the "Child" singer shared how the members of NCT 127 prepared diligently for the 2 Baddies comeback, thus when the members saw how the fans welcomed the album, they felt proud at relieve.

Ultimately, with dignity, Mark said "As time goes by, my pride as NCT grows greater."

What's next for NCT?

As NCT 127 recently concluded their US stops for "Neo City: The Link", the 127 squad is hyped to kick another set of superlative shows at Seoul Olympic Stadium on October 22 and 23.

Along with notable pillars of K-pop, NCT 127 joins H.O.T., Shinhwa, JYJ, EXO, BTS, and NCT Dream as the only idols so far to conduct concerts at the said venue.

NCT Dream has also confirmed that "The Dream Show 2" will be sustained in 2023, as the sub-unit will spice the stage of Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Chile.

On the other hand, NCT Dream will go back to the Philippines for the second time this year, together with WayV, XDinary Heroes, and Golden Child as they are the notable names to perform at "I-Pop U 2022 Manila."

Unfortunately, it was announced yesterday that Winwin and Ten could not participate in the concert, due to health issues.

Conversely, SM Entertainment's Chinese sub-unit, WayV is teasing the fans with their anticipated comeback this last quarter of 2022. This will be WayV's first-ever comeback since "Kick Back" and after some members' immersion in individual and duo music and acting activities.
