Girls' Generations Taeyeon Spills Tea on How To Handle Idol Life

As part of promoting Taeyeon's digital issue, the official YouTube Channel of Harper's Bazaar Korea released on October 20, 2022, a video addressed to newbies in the K-pop industry.

The video adopts a concept where Taeyeon is a young school girl who came to learn about "The Art of Girl Groups."

The main vocalist carried a bag with her and a book as a prop to elevate the study vibes in the video. Surprisingly, the book prop appeared like a slam book as it contained some of Taeyeon's basic information, such as her entertainment agency, debut date, height, and blood type.

Elevating the classroom vibes, Taeyeon was asked about the "three essential requirements needed to be a K-pop idol." For someone like Taeyeon who has been in the K-pop landscape since the second generation, questions like these are best addressed to a veteran like her since she has an in-depth experience to share.

According to the leader-main vocalist, a K-pop idol must have "positive thinking," be "multi-talented," and must obtain "trendiness."

Next, on the question list, Taeyeon was asked to complete the sentence, "Be careful of ____ to last long as a group." Activating the inner legend in her, Taeyeon responded, "Temptation."

When asked how she solves problems with her members, Taeyeon mentioned that asking for a conversation is the key.

Digging deep into personal questions, Taeyeon was asked about three advantages and disadvantages of living in a dorm. She mentioned that benefits include "fun," "never boring," and "better teamwork." At the same time, the disadvantages are "small size of the room," "infinite considerations," and "has to label her things with her name."
