LOONA Chuu Confesses Birthday Event Was Prepared With Own Money

On October 20, LOONA member Chuu held an event for her fans to celebrate her birthday. The idol spent time with ORBITs who love her, and everyone had a wonderful time.

However, following the event, Chuu revealed that her birthday celebration was not prepared by the company. Instead, she paid and organized it herself.

After the birthday, fans who were unable to go expressed their envy over fans who were able to attend through the fan messaging network Fab. At this, Chuu responded, "Next time, I will get an even bigger venue for our Potatoes (Chuu's fandom name)! This time, I had to prepare this with my money, that is why."

This sparked backlash against Blockberry Creative. Many noted that for Heejin's birthday, which is one day after Chuu's, the company had prepared a birthday event for her. During LOONA's Seoul concert, the agency prepared a surprise event for Heejin's birthday, and the LOONA member was able to celebrate with all the members.

People believe this is another instance of Blockberry Creative mistreating Chuu following her lawsuit. Back in December 2021, Chuu filed a lawsuit to suspend her exclusive contract with Blockberry Creative. Since then, the two parties have not been on good terms, and Chuu has repeatedly been mistreated by the agency.
