Upon doing this, many NCTzens praised the group leader for unleashing the inner savage in him for sexily conveying a subtle message to "haters."

However, this gesture also drew divided comments from the fans across social media and Korean online discussion forums.

"Today, all the other members performed live, but only Taeyong lip synced."
"But... isn't it a problem to curse a finger at a fan?"
"Why would he lick his finger that's probably sweaty and has covid bacteria on it? I'm barfing."

NCTzens saw the criticisms coming, so some NCT fans just shook it off and said:

"So funny how taeyong made that gesture for the haters gonna be mad line and now the haters are in fact mad and shaking and throwing up."

Regardless of releasing his fierce side, the resident rapper of NCT communicated that the song, 'Hello' was meaningful for the pack and to be able to perform it after seven years since its conception is something to be proud of.

The Duality of Taeyong

Taeyong is one of the leaders in the K-pop industry. Leading 22 men is not a joke, that is why Taeyong is praised for his leadership and responsibility as one of NCT's foundations.

During the encore of the second day of the concert, Doyoung, NCT 127's main vocalist, became emotional. And to the rescue, Taeyong gave him a reassuring hug.

Despite being a baddie, the NCT members have secured a soft spot in Taeyong's heart.

Henceforth, after the two-night concert, Taeyong not just awestruck fans with his gesture, but also melted the heart of the fans with how he stayed strong during emotional times for the team.
