In June 2022, it was revealed that the role of Crown Princess Ahn Jayeon in the historical drama "The Forbidden Marriage" will be played by Kim Minju, the former lead rapper and visual of IZ*ONE.
"The Forbidden Marriage" is a romantic historical drama based on an exciting web novel that narrates the story of Yi Heon, Korean's Joseon Dynasty king, who fell into great anguish after the death of his wife, portrayed by Minju.
As a result of his despair, he issued a banning on marriage in his kingdom. One day, Yi Heon meets a scammer who makes him believe that she is being possessed by the late crown princess' spirit.
Upon this announcement, people have commented that the former rapper-visual of IZ*ONE is ideal for the role as Ahn Jayeon's character is beautiful, pure, dignified, calm, kindhearted, and prudent - characteristics mirrored by Minju as well. Hence, a lot of fans are anticipating the drama.

Scheduled on December 9, 2022, at 9:50 PM KST, 'The Forbidden Marriage' is set to send its audience on a delightful and exhilarating roller coaster ride. The drama, starred by Kim Youngdae, Park Juhyun, and Kim Minju, will be aired every Friday and Saturday.
Who is Minju Before Becoming the Crown Princess for 'The Forbidden Marriage'?
As she transforms into a Crown Princess, this is not Minju's first time as an actress since in March 2018; she played the role of Moon Ga Young's younger counterpart in "Tempted", an MBC Drama.
In the same year, Minju competed as one of the participants in Mnet's "Produce 48."
