Back in October of this year, the status of IVE member Jang Wonyoung's romantic life was questioned after netizens' speculation surrounding her relationship with BIGBANG member G-Dragon surfaced online.

The surprising dating rumors between the two idols, who have an age gap of 16 years, surfaced after G-Dragon's Instagram Story on October 6 drew attention among fans.

In his Instagram Story posted on this day, the second-gen idol can be seen expressing his gratitude to the luxury brand Miu Miu for their gift to hiim. He added the caption, "Thanx for the lovely gift from Miu Miu."

While the post was itself didn't seem to have any problems, controversial Youtuber Sojang noted that G-Dragon among the stickers G-Dragon used on his Instagram Story, one of it was Jang Wonyoung's sticker, which was placed under the word "lovely."

Not long after, the two idols were swept in dating rumors, with other netizens trying to find out more about Jang Wonyoung and G-Dragon's alleged romantic involvement with each other, as well as provide evidence.

One of the "evidences" the netizens have come up with was that Jang Wonyoung and G-Dragon wore similar outfits to fashion events.

On October 8, Jang Wonyoung, who is Miu Miu's brand ambassador, attended the brand's fashion show for their 2023 S/S Collection during Paris Fashion Week. There, she wore a cropped cardigan with four pockets.

Netizens also noticed that G-Dragon wore a similar cardigan on October 1 during his attendance at the fashion event.

This also led to some netizens speculating about his real relationship with Miu Miu, as G-Dragon is known to be the brand ambassador for Chanel.

Did Jang Wonyoung and G-Dragon Really Date?

Unsurprisingly, many found Jang Wonyoung and G-Dragon's dating rumors to be too extreme. Many have also come forward to debunk the speculation surrounding the two.

It is noted that the Jang Wonyoung sticker can easily be found on Instagram Story when searching for Miu Miu stickers.

Media outlets Star News and Herald Pop have also debunked the rumors, as they even reached out to Miu Miu regarding the two idols' siimilar clothing.

According to Miu Miu, the clothes Jang Wonyoung wore were not in the same collection as the clothes G-Dragon wore. In fact, Jang Wonyoung's clothes are from an upcoming collection set to be released in November 2022.

"The product worn by Jang Wonyoung is part of the Miu Miu Holiday 23 collection, which has not been released yet. It will be released through the campaign in November," Miu Miu stated.

Thus, the dating rumors between the two were quickly shut down.
