Where Is EVERGLOW Yiren? Idol's Status After Spending About 1 Year in China

With the speculations of Yiren leaving EVERGLOW, the idol indirectly gives the answer to K-pop fans after THIS happened.

EVERGLOW Yiren Back In Korea After 10 Months

On November 8, EVERGLOW Yiren became a hot topic on social media after her return to Korea after about a year!

On this day, it was confirmed that the idol finally came back to the country after she was spotted at the Incheon International Airport.

Forever, EVERGLOW's fandom, rejoiced as the idol signaled her return to the K-pop scene after spending 10 months in China.

Yuehua Entertainment initially announced in January that Yiren will take a temporary hiatus in mid to end of February for academic purposes, as well as to spend time with her family in her hometown whom she wasn't able to meet after the pandemic in 2020.

Fans thought that it will only last for two weeks but weeks became a month, and a month became months.

Since then, EVERGLOW continued their promotion as a five-member team.

EVERGLOW Yiren Beats Allegations of Leaving Team

The reason fans are delighted by the news of Yiren's return to Korea was due to the rumor and speculation that Yiren will leave EVERGLOW.

After her hiatus from the group, she didn't really take a break from the entertainment scene but actually held numerous solo activities while in China. During her time in her country, the idol established private workshops and appeared in various Chinese shows.

During this time, some Forevers are already anxious because they didn't know what would be Yiren's next move.

Many Chinese K-pop idols such as f(x) Victoria and former Pristin Kyulkyung left the K-pop industry to promote in China due to higher revenue and fan bars' incredible treatment.

Her previous bowing controversy seems to add to the fans' concern even more. In context, Yiren was badly criticized by Koreans a month prior to her activity suspension. This is after she allegedly refused to do the Korean big bow and did the Chinese bow instead.

When this happened, Koreans called her out for being disrespectful and told her to go back to China and leave the group. The issue even reached the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA).

During this time, the association defended the idol and emphasized that fans should recognize the true essence of music, which doesn't confront political conflict, race, age, etc.

But as her time in China gets longer, Yiren worried fans if she's really deciding to leave EVERGLOW for her country.

According to reports, EVERGLOW will release a collaboration song with TheFatRat, set to be released on November 18.

Her return raised expectations of what kind of charm and concept the group will bring to fans as a full group after a year since their last release.
