Eminem New Album 2013 Rumors: Will Christianity Be A New Theme?

Eminem New Album 2013 Rumors: The still unnamed and unrealeased 2013 album by Eminem might have a drastic change in tone, if Christian forums and blog posts are any indiction: has "Slim Shady" found God?

Earlier this year, there were reports from MediaTakeOut and Gossip Cop, that the now 40-year-old rapper had been "born again" as a Christian.

The news was met with an apparent "whatever," by a lot of media, but recent reports from the rap group, Goodie Mob, had furthered the rumor that Eminem has had a change of heart and is now embracing the tenets of Christianity.

The "Slim Shady" alter ego that catipulated Eminem to fame in 1999 with the Dr. Dre produced "Slim Shady" LP. He followed that up with the monumental success of "Marshall Mathers" LP in 2000 and was a household name for the start of the new millennium.

But the drug, violence and misogyny that many women's rights groups have picketed against and with many feeling that Eminem was too dangerous and possibly addicted to drugs, the older Eminem appears wiser.

But does that mean he's become a born again Christian?

The Christian Post wrote earlier this year that Eminem has "turned his life over to Christ," and is "building a relationship with God and using that to help him spiritually, and with his addiction problems."

Then, yesterday it was claimed that Goodie Mob, featuring acclaimed R&B singer, Cee Lo Green, was back in the studio working on their first album as a group since 2003.

They had invited Eminem to work on a controversial single called, "White Power."

It's been reported that Goodie Mob was convinced he'd want to come in and do a verse on the track, but Cee Lo Green supposedly believes that Eminem passed up the opportunity because of his new found born-again status as a Christian.

In other Eminem news, his protegé, Skylar Grey, released a new track off her "Don't Look Down" album set for release on July 9 this year. The track, called "Wear Me Out," is the first single off the album.

It also features explicit lyrics, which--if Eminem really is a born-again Christian--he would not be supporting.

We think the born again Christian angle, and Cee Lo Green's comments are fabrications and have no basis in reality.

Recently, Detroit emcee Big Sean, tweeted a picture of him and Em in the studio (seen above) and told MTV they shared a lot of hardscrabble events in their tough Detroit upbringing:

"It was funny because every story I told him about how I lost a lot of friends, relationships and girls...and [how I've] made new friends, he was like, 'Man, it's crazy, because every story you telling me, I got the exact same story just in a different way.' "

Still no word on when Eminem will release his new album, but his hypeman said after his August concert dates with others claiming it would come later in July to allow Skylar Grey's album time to take off.

Bsides a Big Sean colloboration, Eminem also might be collaborating with the Black Hippy crew featuring Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolyboy Q, or possibly even crooner Olly Murs.

But Eminem might be waiting until the fall because he's too busy with other ventures, like commercials and his ongoing lawsuit against Facebook.

The Eminem new album 2013 rumors just keep getting more bizarre, but a Christian themed album has to be the craziest.
