The top 10 male K-pop idols who Japanese women want to marry this 2022 have been revealed. The list includes BTS members, SHINee members, and more artists from the second and third generation. Keep reading to know who took the No. 1 spot.

On Nov. 9, a survey was conducted among 1,295 Japanese women aging 10 years old to 40 years old to determine the male K-pop idols they are interested in marrying this year.

Among the candidates, the one who secured fifth place is BTS Jimin with 68 votes. Jimin's popularity in Japan has been demonstrated over the years. Just this past July, he was selected as the "Best Male Idol Dancer in K-pop 2022" by Japanese netizens. This marked his second consecutive year to earn this title.

Moreover, his individual GQ Magazine cover ranked among the best-selling covers on Yahoo Japan's official store, even surpassing BTS' group cover and staying as the only magazine cover on the list for several days.

Ranking fourth is ASTRO Cha Eunwoo, who has risen to become one of the top actors in South Korea. A total of 76 Japanese women voted for him as the male K-pop idol they want to marry this 2022.

This past August, Cha Eunwoo held two solo fan meetings "2022 Just One 10 Minute: Starry Caravan" in Kobe and Yokohama in Japan. Both shows were sold out and about 32,000 spectators filled the concert hall.

Securing the second and third places are BTS Jungkook and BTS V, respectively. Jungkook got 85 votes, while V had 84 votes.

BTS V's popularity in Japan is no joke. He has been chosen as the "No. 1 Korean Idol in Japan" for 58 consecutive weeks (as of July) and "No. 1 Korean actor in their 20s" for 54 weeks in a row by Japanese netizens. The famous idol ranking site Nehan and the Korean actor ranking site Bihan open a poll every week and V always occupy the first spot.

Meanwhile, BTS Jungkook is considered the symbol of the cultural bridge between South Korea and Japan, as he has attracted the Japanese music and film industry with his self-composed songs "Your Eyes Tell" and "Film Out," which are OSTs of Japanese movies.
