Another week of November has come to an end with new K-pop songs released and many happenings in the music scene. In this article, we'll look back on the hottest music and events in the K-pop industry from Nov. 17 to 23.

New K-pop Songs in November 2022: Jungkook "Dreamers," JY Park "Groove Back," More

1. JY Park "Groove Back" (Feat. Gaeko)

Almost two years since he worked with Rain on "Switch to Me," J.Y. Park is back with a new track, titled "Groove Back." Released on Nov. 18, "Groove Back" is a retro-dance song and features Korean rapper Gaeko.

Originally, "Groove Back" was a few-second long TikTok song released early last month, but it evolved into a full-length song after many people showed their love for it.

2. B.I "Keep Me Up"

Male K-pop idol B.I also returned to the music scene on Nov. 18. On that day, he dropped the first part of his new album "Love or Loved," which is led by the title song "Keep Me Up." Written by B.I and produced by The Stereotypes, "Keep Me Up" is a dancehall number.

3. Jungkook "Dreamers"

Amid BTS's group hiatus, Jungkook released his new solo project, "Dreamers," his contribution to the soundtrack of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The song, which contains English lyrics, follows Jungkook's collaboration single, "Left and Right," with Charlie Puth this past June.

4. TEMPEST "Dragon"

Another new K-pop song this November is from Yuehua Entertaiment's new boy group, TEMPEST. They made their second comeback on Nov. 22 with their third EP "ON and ON." The record features the title song "Dragon," a powerful dance number with sizzling electronic sounds and a trap beat.

5. BoA "Forgive Me"

After two years since her tenth studio album "Better" in December 2020, female K-pop idol BoA released a new mini-album, "Forgive Me," on Nov. 22. In addition to the title song of the same name, the EP also contains five more tracks, two of which were self-composed by BoA ("Sketch" and "Hope").

6. NMIXX "Funky Glitter Christmas"

Our list of new K-pop songs this third week of November also includes NMIXX's "Funky Glitter Christmas," which arrived on Nov. 23. The release is described as a "INTERMIXXION single."

1. Jungkook Performs at World Cup 2022 Opening Ceremony

On Nov. 20 local time, BTS member Jungkook attended the FIFA World Cup 2022 to perform his new single, "Dreamers," for the first time. He took the stage at Qatar's Al Bayt Stadium alongside Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.

2. Former LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam's Current Status

On Nov. 22, a photo of former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam was uploaded to Twitter and various online communities. The picture shows the female idol wearing a school uniform, which belongs to the School of Performing Arts (SOPA).

3. BTS "Dynamite" MV Breaks YouTube Record

On Nov. 22 at approximately 4:26 a.m. KST, BTS's "Dynamite" MV surpassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube. The music video took two years, three months, and 15 hours to reach the mark after its release on Aug. 21, 2020 at 1 p.m. KST. It is now the fastest K-pop group MV to hit 1.6 billion views, breaking BLACKPINK's record with "DDU-DU DDU-DU."
