7 Australian K-pop Idols Besides BLACKPINK Rosé: Stray Kids Members, More

Stray Kids Bang Chan & Felix

While STAYs are aware, many non-fans are probably not aware that Bang Chan and Felix are Australian. These two make up the adorable Aussie line of Stray Kids.

While Bang Chan was born in South Korea, he and his family moved to Sydney, Australia at a young age, and that's where he grew up. His English name is Christopher. In 2010, Chan returned to Korea after passing an audition for JYP Entertainment when he was 13 years old.

Felix, meanwhile, was born and raised in Australia, specifically in Seven Hills, a suburb in Sydney. His parents are both Korean. The only time he moved to Korea was after he was accepted as a trainee in JYP Entertainment in February 2017. And after a year of training, he finally debuted in March 2018.

ENHYPEN Jake

ENHYPEN Jake is also an Aussie K-pop idol! Like Bang Chan, he was born in South Korea, but relocated to Australia, particularly in Brisbane, when he was young. He started training in Korea in September 2019 and after nine months, he competed in the survival show "I-LAND." And after finishing in third place on the program, he debuted as a member of the boy group he's in now.

NMIXX Lily

A more recent Australian K-pop idol is NMIXX Lily. She was born and raised in Victoria, Australia, probably in the Melbourne area. Her father is Australian and her mother is Korean, which is why she's fluent in both English and Korean.

Lily first entered the K-pop scene as a contestant in the fourth season of the reality show "K-pop Star," where J.Y. Park was one of the judges. She was eliminated from the program, but still had the chance to sign an exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment in May 2015. Now, after six years of training, Lily finally debuted as an NMIXX member, who impresses everyone with her unmatched vocals.

NewJeans Hanni & Danielle

And even more recently, NewJeans members Danielle and Hanni joined the Aussie line of K-pop. Hanni is Vietnamese-Australian and was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Both her parents are Vietnamese with her father coming from Hanoi while her mother is from HO Chi Minh. She only visited her parents' hometown in Vietnam multiple times.
