At the training center, the "Super Tuna" singer will receive five weeks of basic military training. He will then be deployed as an active-duty soldier at a front-line unit, the one near the border of South Korea and North Korea.

In response to the news, Big Hit Music briefly told Sports Chosun, "It's difficult to confirm."

Last week, BTS Jin revealed that he would be deployed to the front-line when he was asked by a fan.

"It's your birthday next month. Are you excited?" one ARMY asked him and he responded, "No... I'm on the front-line."

Jin announced his plan to enlist in the military after BTS's concert in Busan, "2030 Busan World Expo Concert," last month. He then canceled the postponement of his military service right after he came back to Korea from South America, where he joined Coldplay on stage to sing "The Astronaut" during the rock band's concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

BTS Jin's military enlistment was originally postponed, as he submitted his deferral of military enlistment as recommended by the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism under the revised Military Service Act in 2020.

BTS Jin Releases "The Astronaut" + Makes History With Album Sales

Meanwhile, BTS Jin's latest solo release is the single "The Astronaut," which is a collaboration track with Coldplay.

Released on Oct. 28, "The Astronaut" is a pop rock genre song containing lyrics that capture Jin's affection for ARMY. Both Jin and Coldplay participated in writing the lyrics.

On the same day as the album's release, it already sold a total of 700,954 copies on the Hanteo Chart. This made Jin only the third solo artist in history to record 700,000 sales with an album on the first day of its release. The first two soloists who achieved the feat are Lim Young Woong (with "IM HERO") and EXO Baekhyun (with "Bambi").

Jin's "The Astronaut" then went on to sell a total of 770,126 copies in the first week (Oct. 28 to Nov. 3), making the BTS member only the third soloist in Hanteo history to exceed 750,000 copies in the first week of an album's release (following Lim Young Woong and EXO Baekhyun as well).

Meanwhile, the title track "The Astronaut" hit No. 1 on iTunes Song charts in at least 97 different countries- including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and Germany- as of Oct. 29 at 9 a.m. KST.
