On November 24, the Korean media outlet Business Post wrote an article, titled "Who is the Next BTS? The Reason JYP's Stray Kids Was Chosen."

Following the enlistment report of BTS Jin, the group is expected to hold their group activities and focus on their solo endeavors amid military service.

Due to this, it is expected that a leading boy group will be absent tentatively by 2025. As a result, entertainment companies are expected to take over the group's position with stronger marketing and debut or rookies.

But being the group to take over BTS' seat is not easy. A group needs to have these 3 success factors to snag the No. 1 spot. 

These success factors of BTS can be largely divided into (1) performance, (2) music, and (3) communication.

The outlet explained:

"First of all, if you look at the performance part, BTS is paying particular attention to the visual aspects such as beautiful and colorful videos, especially as it targets overseas markets...

In terms of music, BTS make most of their own songs, and fans tend to easily sympathize with their stories or the music they composed... The musical sincerity of writing and composing seems to have touched the hearts of fans."

The outlet added:

"Communication is the most important part of BTS's success. Even before their debut, BTS communicate with fans through personal SNS and also ran a blog..."

Outlet Claims Stray Kids Satisfies 3 Success Factors To Take Over BTS Position as 'King'

Thanks to these success factors, BTS became the "Kpop King" following BIGBANG. But who will be BTS' successor?

The article stated that JYP Entertainment's boy group Stray Kids satisfies all of the aforementioned success factors of BTS, such as performance, music, and communication.

"In terms of performance, Stray Kids are making various attempts. The 2021 Golden Disc Awards stage, where they wore hanbok-style costumes and flew huge fans, is especially talked about by many people.

Stray Kids presents a variety of attractions by embodying the stage, composition, performance, costumes, and props in one work. The performance borrowed from various contents such as squid games is also impressive."

In terms of music, 3RACHA is present, a musical trio comprised of Chan, Han and Changbin, who write and compose Stray Kids' entire discography by themselves.

Aside from them, all of the members were also participating in songwriting and composing and releasing their respective music through a mixtape.

As for communication, Stray Kids consistently communicate with fans through vlogs. They also have the strongest ripple effect on YouTube and social media platforms.

"Considering the overwhelming number of YouTube views, global SNS searches, and mentions, Stray Kids is currently considered the fourth-generation boy group with the strongest overseas fan affinity."

On the other hand, the media outlet added that the eight-member group will only take the throne of being a "K-pop King" based on their performance in the U.S. market, accounting for 38% of the global music industry.
