BREAKING: LOONA Chuu Has Been Removed By Blockberry Creative Over 'Abuse of Power'—Details
In a recent statement, LOONA's label Blockberry Creative announced that member Chuu is now officially removed from the group. The removal was confirmed after a series of rumors and gossips about Chuu's withdrawal from LOONA.
To the label's disclosure, Chuu was let go because of the suspected "abuse of power", which concerned the staff receiving abusive language.
LOONA's Chuu Withdrawn From Group, Company Gives Official Statement
The following statement below was released by the label on November 25:
"Hello. This is BlockBerry Creative.
We are making this announcement to let fans know that, as of November 25, 2022, we have chosen to expel and withdraw our agency artist Chuu from LOONA.
This past year, there have been several rumors concerning LOONA's Chuu, but the agency and the members of the group have remained silent in order to avoid interfering with the group's progress or worrying fans.
Instead of stating what is true or not, the LOONA members sought to communicate their emotions by giving their best efforts for performances and material out of love for the team and care for their fans.
However, an inquiry revealed the truth when it was recently reported that Chuu used aggressive language and abused her position of authority towards our personnel. We have chosen to accept responsibility for this occurrence and decided to remove Chuu from LOONA. Agency leaders have apologized and comforted personnel.
First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere apologies to the staff members who have been negatively affected because of this event. We promise to make every effort to ensure that everyone can recover quickly, concentrate on their recuperation, and resume their regular life.
We deeply regret that we were unable to keep all 12 members of LOONA together until the very end and sincerely ask for your sincere forgiveness.
No matter what, the agency and LOONA will go back to their daily lives and make every effort to ensure that an occurrence like this never happen again in the future The group will persevere until the end and repay everyone who has supported LOONA with love.
Additionally, the agency and LOONA members shall treat all the staff with respect and gratefulness. The organization will make every effort to reciprocate for the staff's dedication and efforts so events like this never occurs again. We apologize once more to the staff members and fans for causing problems with this situation."
Furthermore, there were rumors BlockBerry denied regarding Chuu leaving the label earlier in October due to speculations that Chuu was setting up her own agency, in which the company denied.
