NCT Doyoung Reveals Haechan Knew Jeno Even Before They Joined SM

On Nov. 30, episode 3 of NCT's variety show, "Welcome to NCT Universe," was released. The episode features NCT members Jungwoo, Jeno, Doyoung, Shotaro, and Sungchan, along with SMROOKIES members Eunseok, Shohei, and Seunghan.

While they were on their way to eat somewhere, the boys started talking about where they are from. When Seunghan revealed that he's from Ilsan, Doyoung shared that Jeno and Haechan are from Ilsan as well.

Doyoung then revealed that Haechan knew Jeno when they were still kids, saying "Haechan heard of Jeno when he was in elementary school."

While Haechan attended Hogok Elementary School, Jeno went to Hyunsan Elementary School. These schools are now that far from each other, so it's no wonder Haechan would hear something about Jeno.

Doyoung further shared what Haechan was told, "He heard there was a good-looking kid named Jeno."

It was the first time Jeno had heard about this story and asked Doyoung if it was true. The latter responded, "Yes, that's what he said."

Doyoung then made everyone laugh when he pointed out how "Jeno had never heard about Haechan" during their elementary-school days. Jeno confirmed he knew nothing about Haechan until he joined SM Entertainment. "I saw him for the first time at SM," he said.

Who would have thought that both Haechan and Jeno end up becoming trainees under the same company and debuting as members of the same group.

This is not the first incident that this happened between NCT Dream members. Chenle and Jisung had a similar situation of knowing each other before they started training at SM Entertainment. When they were just kids, they both appeared on the same Chinese show, "International Children's Concert." They even took a photo together.

These stories only prove that NCT members are destined to be together.
