7 Inactive/Disbanded 2nd-Gen Girl Groups People Wish To Reunite: Girl's Day, Secret, More! [Updated 2023]

Despite the current reign of 3rd-gen girl groups like BLACKPINK, TWICE, and Red Velvet, as well as 4th-gen groups ITZY, IVE, (G)I-DLE, and more, the 2nd-gen era remains the "golden age of girl groups" for many long-time K-pop fans.

From 2007 to late 2011, 2nd-generation girl groups raised the status of K-pop in the music scene, thanks to their bop tracks and unique concepts. It was also thanks to them that girl groups survived in the industry, amid the influx of boy groups at that time.
