BLACKPINK has earned the most nominations for the 2022 China Year-End Awards, proving their massive popularity in the country.

On Dec. 16, China Music Data announced through its official Twitter account that the foursome has been nominated for a total of 14 categories in the annual awards ceremony that evaluate the performance of artists and the support of fans.

In particular, BLACKPINK's second studio album "BORN PINK" earned nominations in five different categories such as Best Selling Album, Best Selling International Album, Best Selling K-pop Album, Best Selling Female Album, and Best Selling Group Album.

The quartet's pre-release single "Pink Venom" is running for five categories as well including Best Selling Single, Best Selling International Single, Best Selling K-pop Single, Best Selling Female Single, and Best Selling Group Single.

BLACKPINK themselves was also nominated at the 2022 China Year-End Awards. They are one of the nominees in Best Selling Artist (Albums), Best Selling Artist (Singles), Best Selling Group (Albums), and Best Selling Group (Singles).

With a total of 14 nominations, BLACKPINK is the most nominated K-pop group and artist overall for the awards show.

Moreover, the foursome is one of the only two artists nominated in all four major categories of the 2022 China Year-End Awards, along with EXO Lay. Those categories are Best Selling Artist (Singles), Best Selling Artist (Albums), Best Selling Album, and Best Selling Single.

Meanwhile, the winners of the 2022 China Year End Awards will be determined using solely the digital sales and will be revealed on Sunday, Dec. 18.

At the 2021 China Year-End Awards, BLACKPINK and its members Lisa and Rosé were among the winners.

BLACKPINK received the Best Selling Live Album with "The Show (Live)," which sold 30,000 digital copies in China. "The Show" was the first online concert by the quartet in support of their first full album "THE ALBUM." It was initially scheduled on Dec. 27, 2020, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to Jan. 31, 2021.

To recall, the livestream concert of BLACKPINK's "The Show" recorded approximately 280,000 paid subscribers, generating over 10 billion won from ticket sales. The countries that had the most virtual viewers were the United States, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, and Mexico.

Rosé bagged the Best Selling International Single award for her solo album "R," which sold a total of 1,724,000 digital copies in China, earning 10,347,000 yuan. Notably, "R" is the first K-pop single to achieve 10 million yuan in the country.

In the Best Selling International Single category, Rosé went up against her co-member Lisa (with "LALISA"), BTS (with "Butter"), Girls' Generation Taeyeon (with "Weekend"), and Justin Bieber ("Anyone" and "Hold On").

The "On The Ground" singer also won Best Selling K-pop Single and Best Selling K-pop Artist (Singles) with "R."

Finally, Lisa took home Best Selling Thailand Artist (Singles) award with her debut album "LALISA," which sold 785,000 digital copies. What's more impressive is that she was able to win this award just three months after she dropped the album.
