MBC Gayo Daejejeon 2022 Unveils Songs For Cover Performances: 'Lion Heart,' 'Love Killa,' More

On an online platform, the songs that will be used in MBC Gayo Daejejeon 2022's cover performances have been revealed.

First on the list will be "Love Killa" by MONSTA X. The cover stage will be performed by idols comprising of ASTRO Moonbin & Sanha, SF9 Taeyang, and Wei Kim Yohan.

KARA's hit single "STEP" will also be joining the segment, and will be performed by Oh My Girl Arin, (G)I-DLE Yuqi, Weki Meki Choi Yoojung and soloist Choi Yena.

Meanwhile, SNSD's prominent hit song "Lion Heart" will be covered by IVE.

NMIXX will cover BoA's iconic song "Atlantis Princess"

Lastly, Kim Sung Jae's "As I Told You" is chosen as one of the special performances, and will be performed by ATEEZ.

Fans expressed their excitement over the news. Others flocked online to voice out their thoughts regarding the upcoming cover stages.

Some even mentioned who will be singing certain parts in these songs, especially SNSD's "Lion heart."

MBC Gayo Daejejeon 2022 Indicates Special Stage From Hosts SNSD YoonA & 2PM Junho

In other news, MBC uploaded a video to their MBCkpop YouTube page in which they featured 2PM Junho and SNSD YoonA.

In the teaser, YoonA is shown receiving a video call from Junho. She insists they should perform for the public once more at MBC Gayo Daejejeon 2022, as they did the year before. Afterwards, Junho suggests they prepare for the upcoming festival.

The teaser indicated a special stage from the two hosts.
