On January 5, netizens recalled Hyunjin's bullying issue.

In relation to their claims, Netflix has recently premiered a new Korean drama titled "The Glory."

The series tells the story of a high school student (played by actress Song Hye Kyo), who became a victim of bullying and school violence. Due to the bullying's impact, the protagonist dropped out and planned revenge on her tormentors.

With the triggering topic portrayed by the series, netizens took their thoughts online, remembering Hyunjin's bullying controversy.

Netizens expressed their exasperation over Hyunjin, as well as relate the show to his previous bullying issue:

"Wow the shields are freaking amazing. I'm jealous at his life, he gets shields even after committing school violence. He doesn't even get kicked out and has a bunch of fangirls."

"All school violence is school violence. Who are you to judge whether something was school violence-level or not? I just hate seeing anyone who committed school violence promoting."

"Even after watching The Glory, Hyunjin's fans are still shielding him. I hope that your kid gets bullied like the main character in that drama."

Stray Kids Hyunjin Accused of School Bullying, JYPE Releases Official Announcement

Hyunjin was one of the idols accused of school violence and bullying in February, 2021.

On the same month, an anonymous user posted on an online forum, accusing Hyunjin of harassing students in group chats, making improper sexual remarks, and offensive comments towards other people's families.

At the time, JYP Entertainment responded to the allegations. They addressed rumors regarding Hyunjin's situation, as well as assuring that all facts must be gathered first.

JYPE added how they will be also taking legal action to those who spread baseless rumors.

"We intend to find out the facts and will be taking various methods to conduct a detailed investigation so that nothing is warped. 

We will be taking legal action against the rumors that are being spread. Our agency will do its best to uncover the truth, as well as protect our artists."

Stray Kids Hyunjin Personally Apologizes to Former Classmates After Bullying Accusations

According to a follow-up statement from JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids Hyunjin personally visited with his former classmates to address the situation.

The label first expressed regret for the inconvenience the bad news about their talent had created.

JYPE continued how they obtained perspectives from Hyunjin's classmates, teachers, and accuser. After collecting all facts, the allegations were still difficult to prove, due to the unclear recollections of the events.

The label added to their statement:

"We will do our best to be more careful during the selection process when we take in trainees and artists."
