On January 20, IVE Jang Wonyoung sparked another debate over her way of eating pizza.

In a popular online community, the issue started when a netizen wrote an article with the title, "Ah... Wonyoung. Who eats pizza like this?"

If you will click the article, it contains a GIF of the "ELEVEN" singer from a commercial ad for an American pizza restaurant chain, "Papa John's." On the same day, the group comprised of six members was introduced as the brand's new model.

In the photo then, Jang was seen holding a pizza and smiling at the camera when she took a small bite. She stretched out the melted cheese and showed "aegyo" such as winking at the camera and pouting her lips.

The post's author then wrote:

"Of course, she's pretty, but..."

After uploading the article, it immediately earned massive attention from both K-pop enthusiasts and netizens, amassing about 118k views. It also earned 715 upvotes and about 300 comments, half of them criticizing the "ELEVEN" singer.

In particular, Jang Wonyoung made internet users raise their brows for her "excessive" and "unnatural" way of eating pizza. They emphasized that normally, you would have a bigger bite, especially for a CF to boost the appetite of the viewers; however, Wonyoung taking a small bite isn't convincing.

A lot explained that there's no doubt that Jang Wonyoung's visual is on another level, but her expressions and cute acts were "too much." Some agreed and called out her agency Starship to let her become more natural rather than "caging" her with her "It Girl" image.

Amid the discussion, DIVE (IVE fandom) as well as some K-Netz step out to defend the idol amid the hate she's getting.

She's trying to make the best expression while filming the poster for the pizza, and when I search for past pizza commercials, all the other models are filming the commercial (that way) but why are you scolding Jang Wonyoung?
