On January 26, Super Junior Yesung, who recently released his first studio album "Sensory Flows," appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U's "Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon."
In the broadcast, Kim Shin Young asked Yesung about KWANGYA.
In context, this is translated as "wilderness," an alternate dimension where "Black Mamba" and avatars exist. This is a metaverse created by SM and is participated by all SM artists as part of its wide-scale project, SMCU.
Kim Shin Young proceeded by explaining that this is a must-have question for all SM artists appearing as guests on the radio program. She also mentioned the answers from his co-Super Junior members.
In the past, Eunhyuk said:
"It's a well-made worldview. But didn't they put in too many singers that weren't there?"
Leeteuk then answered:
"I like SM's universe. I know what KWANGYA is now and I'm impressed how Lee Soo Man thought of it."
Kyuhyun then said that it's a good thing but he doesn't know it, while Ryeowook defined it as "freedom."
While the host and Yesung joked about his group's leader aiming for a director position (thus, the positive interest in KWANGYA), Yesung candidly responded:
"It's a nice place, But like Kyuhyun, I'm not curious and I don't know much about this place yet."
Following the radio show, K-pop fans burst into laughter, emphasizing how almost all Super Junior members don't really care much about this concept, excluding Leeteuk.

Meanwhile, Yesung showed his musical prowess outside KWANGYA through his first studio album, "Sensory Flows," released on the 25th.
Immediately after its release, the solo artist truly captivated the ears of music fans with his emotional yet relaxing vocals. The positive reactions to his album were reflected on various global music streaming platforms such as iTunes.
On this day, iTunes announced:
"Yesung's first full-length album, 'Sensory Flows,' released the previous day, topped the iTunes top albums charts in 20 regions including Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Peru, Vietnam, Ecuador, Chile, Jordan, Panama, Brazil, Macao, Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates"
The album also entered the top 5 of the same chart in 28 regions including Greece, Russia, Spain, Bahrain, Finland, Australia, Italy, and Japan, and the top 10 in 31 regions including Germany, Turkey, and Canada.
The album's title track, "Small Things" has been cementing its presence as well by ranking No. 1 in the single charts in 11 regions.
