Twitter Error

However, not all were happy with Jimin returning. In her first Instagram post for 2023, some netizens still called out Jimin for her past bullying controversy with former AOA member Mina.

While the issue has somehow subsided, there are netizens who decided not to move on. Some of these internet users expressed disdain to Jimin and those who were still supporting her. Others even commented vomiting emojis to the idol's post.

"They crucified a child for youthful mistakes (Garam from LE SSERAFIM), but are trying to revive the fame of a woman who almost led to the death of a victim. Selective society, this is so f**king disturbing."

Seeing these comments, fans jumped to Jimin's defense. They stated that netizens do research and see the whole picture first, before commenting hate.

"There's is a reason for that, if you do some research, you will find the other half of the story. There were apparently a lot of things that we didn't know, and Jimin didn't do half of the stuff that she was claimed for."

Ex-AOA Jimin Uploads New Music Dedicated To Fans For Her Birthday

On January 8 at midnight KST, former AOA Jimin treated fans with a surprise. The idol posted a new song on Instagram, which was dedicated to her fans. Its caption wrote, "surprise gift for my dearest," warming the hearts of many.

In her song "Suddenly," the lyrics implied the struggles and backlash she went through during her 2020 bullying controversy.

On July 2020, Jimin departed from the group due to being embroiled in the issue with former bandmate Mina. In Mina's claims, she stated that Jimin had bullied her for 10 years.

The former AOA leader went on to apologize to Mina, as well as post a public apology in Instagram. Since then, Jimin took time away from the spotlight and kept a low profile.
