On February 3, soloist and former GFRIEND member Jung Yerin attended a recording for program "Webtoon Singer," where K-pop artists perform songs for the show.
When Yerin was done for the day, she went out to leave and decided to greet fans outside the building.
Unfortunately, she didn't notice the small curb ahead of her, making her trip on the pavement. The idol was shown visibly hurt, as she laid on the floor.
Luckily for her, Yerin wasn't seriously injured. The idol got back up to greet fans. After tripping, the idol was shown to be pouting, and eventually smiling off the incident.
Fans' hearts melted due to her cuteness and pondered how GFRIEND members would react to her falling down.

However, the video spread online and caught divided opinions. To those who weren't familiar with Yerin, they criticized the singer for her reaction after stumbling.
Many of them called her reaction as being overly-dramatic, and even suggested Yerin to act according to her age.

This angered many fans, stirring a heated debate online, eventually bringing up the topic of misogyny. Fans defended Yerin, stating that even if it was an act, other idols would also do something cute during fan engagements. They even specified that male idols with the same reaction are met with more favorable reactions.
Some even expressed their disdain to those who criticized Yerin, even though they weren't familiar of the idol.

While many idols are known to be clumsy, Yerin's case was indeed an accident. Since the idol got obviously hurt, fans were just glad she wasn't seriously harmed.

Former GFRIEND Yerin Joins Sublime Artist Agency After Leaving Source Music
In other news, Yerin signed with Sublime Artist Agency on June 17 2021, after leaving Source Music and GFRIEND's sudden disbandment. The agency posted an official statement, expressing their support for Yerin as an artist.
Furthermore, Yerin posted on her Instagram, where she voiced out her gratitude to the agency and her love for those who support her.
The idol concluded she will give her best by offering fans more wonderful content, music, and performances.
