'World-Class Performer' EXO Kai To Drop New Solo Album in March 2023
EXO's main dancer Kai is making a comeback as a solo singer!
According to a report by SPOTV News on February 14, Kai will release a new album as a soloist in mid-March.
It is the first time in a year and four months that Kai will make his return to the music scene since his second mini-album, "Peaches," released in November 2021.
With this, fans are already excited about the music he will show after cementing popularity with his hits "Mmmh" and "Peaches."
While Kai was already massively popular as an EXO member, he solidified his solo power with releases different from EXO's songs.
EXO is known for its knife-like dance choreos that require too much energy. Kai, meanwhile, introduced dreamy yet sensuous music with smooth and fluid choreographies.
With his multiple feats and achievements as a soloist in a short span, Kai has been named by multiple Korean media outlets as an "irreplaceable" idol and "world-class performer."
As soon as the news spread among K-pop fans, EXO-Ls and Erigoms (Kai fans) rejoiced on social media platforms. His name KAI and the phrase, "KAI_IS_COMING," quickly made it on top of Twitter trends.
Meanwhile, EXO Kai has recently been active in Japan, including his first solo live event, the "Kai Japan Special Live 2023." This was held in three cities, Nagoya, Osaka, and Yokohama, Japan, from January 28 to 31.
EXO Comeback 2023: Supergroup To Have Fan Meeting in April, Full Comeback in Spring
On the other hand, EXO is preparing for a full comeback with Baekhyun, who was recently discharged from the military.
On Feb. 8, SM Entertainment announced EXO's 11th-anniversary fan meeting, which will be held from April 8 to 9 at KSPO Dome.
The "2023 EXO FANMEETING "EXO' CLOCK" will be the first time that the group will gather as a whole once again since their military enlistment journey started in 2019.

In addition to this year's fan meeting, EXO will continue its active activities such as doing a group comeback and Baekhyun's solo concert.
Regarding EXO's return as a full OT8/OT9, there are no details yet but Hi Investment & Securities initially hinted that the release date is expected to be after spring, speculated to be particularly in June.

In the same month, various sources claimed that an "EXO World Tour 2023" will happen before Kai and Sehun's enlistment, and the timing will be during the promotion of their new album.
Insiders are claiming that the group will possibly have multiple tours in Asia, the U.S. Europe and a special tour leg in Japan.
