On February 28, NME shared a series of interview answers from soloist Hwang Minhyun, who discussed his new album, idol career, and many more.
Hwang Minhyun's mini-album "Truth or Lie" was released on February 27, and he shared how much he matured musically compared to his debut phase.
Minhyun also revealed that he has stepped outside his comfort zone by exploring his rapping talent. Fans are always artists' priority, and Minhyun didn't hesitate to reveal that the album is for people who support him.
Minhyun even voiced out his dedication on the production, even going to the point of creating it immediately after his drama schedule.
Minhyun also opened up about song selection. The idol explained that before a title track is chosen, several factors must be considered such as choreography, stage presence, and its appeal to listeners.
He also declared that it's the perfect time to release an album, since the idol has stepped away from the music scene and focused on his acting schedules.

The idol shared that he learned something when he debuted. Minhyun elaborated that idol career will always be a learning process.

"I think I have matured physically and emotionally, compared to my debut days. I hope that this current era will give me a chance to explore between the present me and my past."
"In B-side 'Perfect Type,' there are a few segments that involves singing-rapping, so it really challenged me. However, I also enjoyed the process of making the songs."
"Just because a song sounds good, doesn't mean it has to be the title track. During production, I also considered on how it will appear on live stage, as well as the choreography, but when I first heard it, I knew how well it would go as the lead single."
Minhyun Releases 'Hidden Sides' MV
On February 27, Hwang Minhyun has officially released the MV for "Hidden Sides," which received positive reactions.
