10 Most Popular K-pop Artists For February 2023: NewJeans, Lim Young Woong, More!
The Korean Business Research Institute has now revealed the brand reputation rankings for February, which includes various Korean stars.
On this list, numerous artists were also listed, highlighting how popular they've become so far. The data collected were covered from January 28 to February 28.
Here are the 10 most popular K-pop artists for February 2023!
1. NewJeans
NewJeans dominated the list with a staggering brand reputation index of 7,176,143. This marks as the girl group's second consecutive month to score No. 1 on the list.
As seen through the charts, NewJeans are continuing to flourish their craft, fanbase, and reputation as a fourth-gen K-pop representative. Aside from their music and content, they also trended for their collab with fast-food chain McDonald's.
2. Lim Young Woong
For the month of February, soloist Lim Young Woong's score skyrocketed on the list, garnering an index of 6,505,134.
3. BTS
BTS claimed a brand reputation index of 6,087,045. On the institute's original list, the K-pop sensation scored their place on its third spot.
Given how massive their fanbase is, BTS will always be in the trends. Member J-Hope also went viral with the announcement of his upcoming digital single "On The Street."
4. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK garnered an index of 5,094,077, proving their solid fanbase. They also went trending due to their achievements in Circle Chart Awards, winning "Female Group of the Year," and "MuBeat Global Choice Award (Female)." They also snagged "Artist of the Year (Digital Music)," with songs "Pink Venom" and "Shut Down."
5. EXO
EXO gained 3,788,757 on their February index. With their upcoming fanmeeting event "EXO' CLOCK," the legendary group caused an upsurge of anticipation around their fanbase. The community went on a rave since they will get to meet EXO offline and online.
6. Lee Chan Won
Lee Chan Won also joined the institute's rankings, making his place with a brand reputation index of 3,590,036.
7. IU
IU gained a brand reputation index of 3,394,638 for February. The singer actress ranked 13th place on the original list, showcasing her reputation as one of the most renowned celebrities in Korea.
8. SEVENTEEN
With a brand reputation index of 3,269,031, SEVENTEEN joined the institute's popularity list for February. Apart from their music, SEVENTEEN also receives love from CARATs for their YouTube content and social media updates. They are also one of the winners who took home trophies from Circle Chart Awards 2022.
9. H1-KEY
Fourth-gen girl group H1-KEY earned 2,810,897 for their February brand reputation index.
10. TWICE
TWICE garnered an index of 2,613,103 for February. The 3rd-gen's "Nation's Girl Group" were caught in the web because of their teasers for upcoming album "READY TO BE." With fans' anticipation rising, TWICE's popularity on March is expected to increase.
