Stray Kids Hyunjin Was Reference of THIS Virtual Artist? People Think Idol Is Better Than CG
On March 1, a netizen's article amassed over 100k views and 219 likes which featured Stray Kids Hyunjin. In the post titled, "I think he's referring to Hyunjin's hairstyle," the internet user uploaded photos of the male idol along with snaps of SUPERKIND's Seung, a virtual idol created through AI technology.
In particular, the author implied that the two idols' hairstyles have uncanny similarities, claiming that the latter might have actually referred to Hyunjin's legendary hairstyle last year.
In May 2022, Hyunjin stole everyone's attention after attending the D'FESTA event organized by Dispatch. On that day, the "CASE 143" singer showed off his stylish side by trying a layered haircut which started with bangs and ended with a mullet.
His visuals were also perfect. His purple hair matched his fair skin and rosy lips, giving off elegant vibes like royalty which can only be seen in the manhwa.
On that day, the handsome anime-like aura of the male star became a sizzling topic on SNS, fans can't get over how UNREAL Hyunjin is in REAL life!
In December 2022 then, just six months after the iconic look of Hyunjin, Seung was added to SUPERKIND, a seven-member group with two virtual members, him and Saejin.
Looking at his photos, Seung also showed off an exact copy of Hyunjin's hairstyle and unexpectedly, the virtual star also resembles the latter so much! Given the timeline, K-pop fans and netters were thinking that Hyunjin was used as a reference when creating Seung.
After fans especially STAYs (Stray Kids fans) saw the post, they also acknowledge the resemblance, but they think that Hyunjin still looks better than the CG! If you feel like they were being biased, even non-fans were actually agreeing to it!

Stray Kids Continues To Show Fame in Japan's Oricon Chart With 'THE SOUND'
Meanwhile, Stray Kids, the group to which Hyunjin belong topped the local weekly chart with their first full-length album in Japan.
On March 2, the agency JYP Entertainment said:
"Stray Kids topped the latest Oricon weekly album ranking (02.20~02.26) released on the official website on the 1st with the Japanese first full-length album 'THE SOUND' released on February 22. This album also entered the top spot on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking on February 21 and topped the chart for seven consecutive days until the 27th."
Stray Kids topped three charts, including the weekly top album sales chart (02.20-02.26), the hot album chart, and the artist 100 with sales of 450,808 copies based on Billboard Japan's tally. It was also ranked the highest in the weekly ranking (02.20-02.26) of all stores of Tower Records, the largest record shop in the country.
