BLACKPINK Jisoo Solo: Idol Announces Official Date for Solo Debut in Teaser Poster
On March 6, Jisoo officially gave out exciting news for BLINKs by uploading a teaser poster for her upcoming solo debut.
In the poster, it included a mysterious "Coming Soon" caption, further intriguing fans. It also teases a nature-themed concept, treating BLINKs to a relaxing, green scenery.
BLACKPINK Jisoo solo debut is set to release on March 31, 2023 (Friday).
Jisoo's solo debut announcement was made back in January 2, where YG confirmed her project that is set to release this 2023. In their announcement, they updated fans that Jisoo has been working on its music production and a jacket photoshoot.
While the idol was indeed busy on BLACKPINK's world tour, she still managed to keep her solo debut promise to fans. Jisoo will be the final BLACKPINK member to debut as a soloist, following Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
Ever since BLACKPINK's first solo member debut involving Jennie in November 12, 2018, fans who are Jisoo-biased have been wondering when will the group's oldest member get her time to shine. With her announcement, BLINKs can now take a breather since Jisoo will now finally debut as soloist.

On May 29, 2022, Jisoo was also interviewed by magazine Rolling Stone for its June 2022 issue. During the interview, the singer hinted a possible solo project by stating how much she loves different bands, especially rock music.
"I am not sure how much I want to go solo yet. I love different bands and rock music. I am (still) not sure what will happen with my solo plans this year."
BLINKs voiced out their anticipation for Jisoo's solo. They praised the poster's simplistic feel, while being curious on what type of music will it offer. Some commented how long they have waited for Jisoo to have her own music.
Fans remarked:

"It kinda gives off a chilly vibe. I want to see smokey Jisoo. I'm already excited.
"I'm curious about the song. I hope that it would be a rock ballad."
Did Jisoo Film Her MV Overseas? YG Entertainment Confirms in Statement
On February 21, YG Entertainment revealed that Jisoo's solo MV was filmed abroad. They added how the music video's production cost is the highest among all BLACKPINK releases.

"The music video for Jisoo's solo single is being shot on location overseas in secrecy. You can look forward to it since among BLACKPINK's videos, we have invested the highest production expenditure yet."
