SM Entertainment Warns Trespassers Who Invade NCT Haechan's Privacy
On March 6, SM Entertainment has made a statement about a trespassing issue on NCT Haechan's residence, alarming netizens online.
The agency declared their stance on the matter, stating that NCT members are suffering due to people randomly visiting places that are related to them. This includes places that members go on their daily lives.
SM reminded the factors that led to their announcement involved people following members in their vehicles, excessive picture taking, illegal obtainment of personal information, and spreading of negative rumors.
SM then pointed out an incident on November 2022, where a "sasaeng" or a fan who stalks an idol, has been drawn with acts of trespassing Haechan's residence. According to SM Entertainment, the trespasser has been indicted via prosecution, and eventually ended up without penance due to Haechan's requests.
However, SM still held to their goal of taking action if ever the same mistake occurs again. They declared that such actions are not tolerated lightly, given how much it affects artists' security. Furthermore, they instructed those "sasaengs" to stop meddling with their artists.

The company assured that unruly activities will be dealt with legal actions, and asked not to be involved in such pursuits. Concluding the letter, they promised to do their best in safeguarding artists and their privacy.

"Hello. This is SM Entertainment.
We are here to inform you our viewpoint on those who are invading NCT members' privacy. The members have been experiencing stress due to actions of people following their vehicles, visiting them randomly, taking pictures of them excessively, obtaining their information, contacting them indiscriminately, and spreading malicious rumors.
In November 2022, a trespassing incident occurred at NCT member Haechan's residence with a sasaeng (a fan who invades idols' privacy). Haechan and his family took a toll on the sasaeng's indiscriminate actions, which led the fan to be indicted in prosecution.
The trespassing fan's case may be generously solved through Haechan's wishes, but it also revealed privacy invasion's seriousness in the community. We disclosed this information to remind that such actions should never happen again.
We are reminding that these actions are not to be confused with admiration, but are actions that infuse fear to artists and their family. We request those sasaengs to stop violating the private lives of our artists.
Such actions will be dealt with legal procedures, and we ask everyone to be careful not to get engaged in these incidents. We will do our utmost best to protect our artists and their well-being.
