'TWICE Square': TWICE, Roblox Collaborate For Immersive Virtual Gathering for ONCEs

On March 8, it was announced that TWICE will be introducing their virtual world, "TWICE Square," which is collaborated with popular game and platform, Roblox.

"TWICE Square" aims for TWICE and their fandom, ONCEs, to engage with each other through the form of gameplay. The game's design is built by metaverse studio Karta, the first unique label partner of JYP Entertainment.

The interactive world is designed with TWICE's signature colors, highlighting the group's inception, development, and easter-egg references from their music videos. As example, there are certain areas of the game that clearly reminisces "Yes or Yes" set pieces.

Apart from its design, the game allows fans to interact with fellow ONCEs, who are dedicated on supporting TWICE. It also allows users to leave notes, which can be viewed by TWICE members themselves. Players can also take selfies and make use of a voice chat function during gameplays.

"TWICE Square" also features two mini-games. The first launched was "SET ME FREE," which showcases an escape room. The other game consists of a trivia challenge, where ONCEs will have to answer various questions with the clock's pressure.

ONCEs can also purchase and trade items, such as plushies and avatar clothing items that resemble the fashion of TWICE members. It can also allow fans to see TWICE's iconic dances on the game through Emotes.

Karibi Dagogo-Jack, head of music partnerships at Roblox, stated, "With the group's enthusiastic fan following and dedication to innovation, TWICE is a perfect match in the game."

With its platform now launched, it's a normal reaction for ONCEs and TWICE to try out the exciting game. TWICE members Dahyun and Momo didn't hesitate to play the game, but another matter caught attention for a different reason.

In the game, TWICE Dahyun was seen to be checking out the love letters displayed by ONCEs. However, her peaceful gaming didn't last long, as fans quickly swarmed to the idol's presence.

Seeing them surround her, Dahyun's pink-dressed avatar quickly ran as if her life was on the line, causing laughter to ONCEs!

Since TWICE is one of the most popular groups in K-pop's third generation, it's no surprise that people will even recognize them in-game. This isn't TWICE's first time gaming with ONCEs, as they have also played the viral "Among Us," during September 2020.
