YG Entertainment Responds to Dating Rumors Between BLACKPINK Rosé & Kang Dong Won
On April 17, YG Entertainment has officially responded to the dating rumors made on Rosé of BLACKPINK and actor Kang Dong Won.
In their statement, YG Entertainment explained that confirming the details would be difficult. They stated, "It's hard to confirm the facts which are related to our artist's personal life."
The rumors began on April 11, when a photo was posted by Burberry's former chief creative officer, Ricardo Tisci. Upon learning of the image, the news quickly stirred netizens online, forming numerous discussions on various platforms.
In the photo, Rosé was shown to be sitting next to Kang Dong Won, which sparked speculations about them dating. The photo showed what appears to be a dinner party, which occurred at the luxurious mansion of entrepreneur and fashion designer Eva Chow. While the photo contained a wholesome nature, it still led to allegations from dating rumors to drug use.
Following this, YG Entertainment uploaded a statement on April 13, declaring strong legal action against those who make false comments and remarks with defaming nature.

YG Entertainment stated:
"We are here to inform you that the rumors circulating on our artist Rosé are clearly false. To protect our artist from defamation, we will take legal action."
"We are currently investigating those who partook in spreading the rumors, and will proceed to legal actions without any leniency or settlement."

On April 11, the picture was uploaded on an online platform, which caught the attention of many. The news also caught up on Twitter, where netizens expressed their own opinions regarding the affiliation between Rosé and Kang Dong Won.
The photo received mixed reactions. Netizens were doubtful of the photo, and wondered if the male individual was Kang Dong Won. They stated the angle is a hindrance to the picture's clarity. Meanwhile, majority of them were confident that the celebrity is indeed Kang Dong Won.
