'98 Liners' VIVIZ SinB, Seungkwan, Chanwoo Mourn Loss of Best Friend ASTRO Moonbin

On Instagram, 98-liners VIVIZ SinB, SEVENTEEN Seungkwan and iKON Chanwoo expressed their sadness for late ASTRO Moonbin. Not only they were born in the same year, but the four of them have been best friends for more than 18 years.

A day ahead of late ASTRO Moonbin's funeral, the mourning continues in the music industry.

In particular, the "98 liners" squad, a group comprised of K-pop idols born in 1998, are drawing attention as they were reportedly the ones closest to Moonbin before he passed away.

Fans checked up on them, thinking it must be hard on them upon hearing the news of ASTRO Moonbin's death.

On April 21, SinB, the girl best friend of Moonbin, expressed her longing for the star by following his personal Instagram. While she initially only have her former GFriend members on her following list, it seems that she added his account in memory of him.

SinB and Moonbin were not only both born in 1998, but they had known each other since they were eight since they grew up in the same hometown of Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.

From going to dance together to being child models, they continued their friendship by participating in entertainment activities at the same time as GFRIEND and ASTRO. Many K-pop fans cheered and envied their real relationship.

SEVENTEEN Boo Seungkwan, also Moonbin's best friend, expressed missing the late idol by visiting and following his Instagram.

Both members of the '98-liners squad, the two were open about their closeness in various broadcasts and interviews.

In an interview, Moonbin even expressed his love for Seungkwan by thanking him how he was able to play and go out to a lot of places. This was despite him not being a fan of going out that much due to the squad's "social butterfly" Seungkwan.

iKON Chanwoo Wishes For Late Moonbin's Happiness

Along with SinB and Seungkwan, iKON Chanwoo also mourns idol's death by expressing his condolences with an Instagram story.

He wrote:

"Bin-ah, don't get sick there and stay happy."

At the same time, Chanwoo recalled their friendship by posting their childhood photo. Not only did the two work together as child actors but their parents are also friends.

In 2006, both of them appeared in TVXQ's "Balloon MV, wherein Moonbin played "Litte Yunho," while Chanwoo is "mini Changmin."

In 2009, the two also appeared as child actors in the KBS2 drama, "Boys Over Flowers." Moonbin played the child role of actor Kim Bum, and Jung Chanwoo played the child role of actor Lee Minho.
