On April 24, Shawols, the fandom of the quintet, hereinafter quartet can't help but burst into laughter after SHINee once again appeared on the national news for the most random reason!

In particular, KBS's Economy Today earlier reported on the number of students going to coffee shops or cafés to gather and study, taking up the tables all day. As a result, the shops found an "evil" yet hilarious way to scare away students from studying all day in cafés– and what could it be?

Blasting them with SHINee's earworm track, "Ring Ding Dong"!

"Ring Ding Dong" a hit track released by SHINee in 2009 is actually the No. 1 "banned" K-pop song among test takers for its addictive rhythm and lyrics that are not suitable for listeners who are easily distracted.

The news continued to explain that test takers must avoid this song but K-cafés are purposely playing it so students will not be able to concentrate and eventually leave the café.

As soon as this circulated online, especially among the fandom, Shawols burst into laughter, emphasizing that it was evil of the shops to make students lose their focus. At the same time, fans were joking that students may leave after playing " Ring Ding Dong," but it will eventually be filled with fans to jam with the song.

With this, fans are leaving comments such as:

  • "SHINee is always in the news for random stuff."

SHINee To Celebrate 15th Debut Anniversary With Fan Meeting

On the other hand, "Princes of K-pop" SHINee embarks on a comeback this May! Aside from this will be their first release after Taemin was discharged from the military, this will also commemorate its 15th debut anniversary after being launched on May 25, 2008.

As part of their debut celebration, SHINee will hold, "2023 SHINee FANMEETING 'Everyday is SHINee Day': [Piece of SHINE]" at 5 p.m. KST on May 27th at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2.

In particular, this fan meeting is the group's first time in about four years and eight months since SHINee's fan meeting "SHINee SPECIAL PARTY - THE SHINING" in September 2018. Due to this, it is expected that fans from around the world will cheer for the quartet whose members haven't been together for more than two years.
