SEVENTEEN's 'FML' Surpasses 4 Million Copies + Becomes First-Ever K-pop Album to Achieve Feat

SEVENTEEN's newest album "FML" has reached a new milestone as the best-selling K-pop album in Hanteo history.

SEVENTEEN's Album 'FML' Exceeds 4 Million Copies in Hanteo Chart

On the first week of its release, covered from April 24 to 30, SEVENTEEN's 10th mini album "FML" has surpassed a total of 4,550,214 sold out copies. This achievement broke the record for the best-selling Korean album in Hanteo.

Apart from setting a new record for the highest Hanteo first-week sales, it has also established a new record for the highest total sales among all albums.

This record was previously held by BTS, who sold over 3.3 million copies with "Map of the Soul:7" in 2020, and proceeding to sell an overall figure of 4.2 million copies since its release.

SEVENTEEN's "FML" was released on April 24 at 6 p.m. KST. On its first day, Hanteo Chart revealed that "FML" had sold around 4 million copies, securing the highest record for first-day sales.

They have also gained their highest stock pre-order number of 4.6 million, which set a new record for any K-pop album.

Its title tracks "Super" and "F*ck My Life" also gained attention from CARATs. On April 24, SEVENTEEN released the official music video for "Super," where they showcased their amazing vocals, rap, and hard-hitting choreography.

Fans were impressed on SEVENTEEN's hardwork and dedication, leading them to flock on the comment section. They commended the group's production, creativity, and their willingness to bring something new to the table every time they make a comeback.

Meanwhile, some CARATs also focused on streaming the music video, in order to give SEVENTEEN the awards and recognition they deserve.

Others celebrated their Hanteo achievement, since the group's release has become the best-selling K-pop album ever in the chart.

In other news, PLEDIS Entertainment disclosed Seungkwan's break from their upcoming comeback activities.

On April 29, the following statement was released:

"Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We would like to inform you that Seungkwan will be unable to engage in some of SEVENTEEN's upcoming comeback activities for 10th mini album 'FML.'

This includes their fan signing event, since he is feeling unwell. We would like to apologize to fans and kindly ask for your understanding. In order for Seungkwan to focus on his recovery process, we will give our best in providing support to our artist.
