CARATs Infuriated With SEVENTEEN's 'FML' Albums Being Dumped at Public Areas

CARATs have criticized other fellow fans for placing SEVENTEEN's "FML" albums in public spaces, to which they deemed as careless.

Here's what happened.

SEVENTEEN's 'FML' Albums Mishandled by Bulk Buyers

On May 1, an online forum was created by SEVENTEEN's fandom CARATs, where they discussed a pressing matter regarding album purchases and placement.

In the discussion, photos of SEVENTEEN's "FML" albums were shown to be left out on certain public spaces. Since SEVENTEEN has attained the best-selling album among all K-pop groups this 2023, it's understandable how much their sales increased, leading some people to purchase physical copies in bulk.

However, the forum became a hot topic because of how it demonstrated the situation within the CARAT fandom. The albums were left open in the streets, causing fans to tell others off and encourage everyone to think about their actions.

Meanwhile there are others who saw the albums abandoned on a café, where the copies lied without its photocards. Fans also scolded the person who left the albums on a place unrelated to SEVENTEEN's events or schedules.

CARATs Angered Over SEVENTEEN's 'FML' Albums Being Mindlessly Placed at Open Spaces

CARATs expressed their disdain to those who bought albums in bulk, only for it to be carelessly handled. They even stated that each person should only be allowed to buy one album each. Some fans insisted that the "million status" of an album isn't enough to be an indicator for its best-selling reputation.

Others stated that hauling albums are pointless if it were to be neglected in terms of care and supervision. There are also others who doubted SEVENTEEN's sales performance.

"What's the point of selling a lot of albums if you're going to do this in the end? That's why we should start counting 1 album per person. After this, it should be your own choice if you want to buy more albums."

"We should change the rules. We should stop photocards, and remove the fan calls/fan events and just stick to 1 version."

"The issue is that person who buys the album should go in a database of that specific store, but wouldn't be registered in the database of another store, so they can just do it all over again."

"The person who owns these albums should be the one apologizing, why are people asking OP to apologize?"

"They have 18 versions of an affordable album, 899 photocards, fansigns in 3 countries + fan calls that are like a lottery system, and the albums are either dumped in the streets or in overseas' warehouses. Seventeen's records are a scam."

"That's exactly why millions of album sales aren't much of an indicator of genuine interest in K-pop and why K-pop is regarded as a manufactured genre."
