Billboard Announces World Albums Chart: SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, More Join Rankings!

Billboard has revealed the World Albums chart containing the best releases. The rankings contain works from artists worldwide and THESE K-pop stars dominated the list!

Billboard World Albums Chart: SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, More Dominate Rankings With Releases

Billboard has announced its World Albums chart covering the week ending on May 13.

On No. 1, SEVENTEEN's 10th mini album "FML" reigned over the rankings for World Albums Chart, trailed by its late physical release in the U.S. Apart from World Albums, it also landed on the Billboard 200 and placing at No. 2 on May 8, marking their highest entry on the chart.

This was followed by Suga of BTS, who debuted his first official solo album "D-DAY" under the alias Agust D. The album claimed No. 2 on World Albums and has spent its second consecutive week on the chart.

On the Billboard 200, Suga also became the first K-pop soloist to spend three weeks straight on the chart's top 15, after defending its position on No. 13.

Suga was followed by his fellow bandmate Jimin, who placed on No. 4 with his solo debut album "FACE." On the World Albums chart, the debut release spent its sixth consecutive week. Jimin's "FACE" also spent six weeks on Billboard 200, marking him as the first Korean soloist to achieve the feat.

TWICE stayed strong at No. 5 with their 12th mini album "READY TO BE." The album spent its eighth consecutive week on the World Albums chart and the Billboard 200, where they became the first-ever K-pop female artist to land three separate albums for eight weeks straight.

Their newest release "READY TO BE" has now trailed previous works such as "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" and "BETWEEN 1&2," which both spent eight weeks on Billboard 200.

TXT maintained their position at No. 6 with mini album "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION," which spent its 14th consecutive week. Additionally, it also spent 14 weeks on Billboard 200.

They were trailed by their senior group BTS, who placed No. 7 with anthology album "Proof." It has also spent its 47th consecutive week on the chart. Apart from World Albums, their previous 2020 release "Map of the Soul: 7" climbed to No. 10 and has stayed for 137th week, non-consecutively.

Fourth-gen girl group representative LE SSERAFIM also joined the World Albums chart with their first full-length album "UNFORGIVEN." The release entered the chart for the first time at No. 8, proving its popularity on the K-pop community.

Stray Kids' mini album "MAXIDENT" (2022), rose to No. 11, and has spent its 27th non-consecutive week on the World Albums Chart. Lastly, NCT 127 placed on No. 15, rounding up the list for K-pop artists who made it on the top 15.
