Who Is Jenna Norodom? Princess Signs With Cambodia-based Korean Agency To Pursue Being Idol

On May 19, the recent situation of a young Cambodian princess who is into K-pop has been revealed.

In a recent broadcast, YTN Global Korean introduced princess Jenna Norodom, an 11-year-old royalty aspiring to become a K-pop idol.

In particular, the young princess was the second daughter of Princess Norodom Bupphary and her French dad. She is the grandniece of. King Norodom Sihamoni, and the great-granddaughter of former King Norodom Sihanouk.

She was born in France, but her family eventually moved to Cambodia when she was three years old and that's when she was able to experience the perks and benefits of being a part of the Cambodian royal family.

Ever since she was young, she showed a passion for performing arts, thus, she debuted as an actress, singer, dancer and model. She immediately gained the love of people and was recently announced as Cellcard's Royal Brand Ambassador.

Currently, she's a highly influential figure communicating with her supporters through TikTok, which has more than 800,000 followers.

Through social media platforms, Princess Jenna has been practicing K-pop alone and uploading her dance and song covers on her official YouTube channels. She also released a K-pop-inspired duet song.

After expressing her desire to become a K-pop idol, Princess Jenna announced that she would start her full-fledged entertainment activities by signing a contract with an agency set up by a Korean.

Why Does Princess Jenna Norodom Love K-pop and Idols?

Ultimately, the princess is known for her love of Korean drama ans K-pop, her favorite groups include BTS, BLACKPINK, MOMOLAND, and Lee Minho.

But among them, the royalty has been showing love for BLACKPINK Lisa and was even called the idol's "mini-me" due to their similarities in visuals and dance skills. Aside from the aforementioned, both were also multilingual, the princess being able to speak five languages including French, Khmer, Thai, English and Chinese.

Just like Lisa, Princess Jenna also started her path in entertainment at a young age, in her case at 6 years old.

Aside from her favorite artists, Princess Jenna also explained that the bright energy given by K-pop is the reason why she fell in love with the genre.

In 2020, she was included in the Cambodian Cultural and Economic Cooperation Group and visited Korea.

As she claims to be a K-pop evangelist in Cambodia and is also planning activities in Korea, expectations are high that she will play a significant role in expanding the field of cultural exchanges between Cambodia and Korea through continuous K-pop singer activities.
