FIFTY FIFTY's 'Cupid' Dominates Billboard's Global Excl US Chart With Debut

On May 22, the top 10 entries of Global Excl. U.S. and Global 200 charts was announced by Billboard.

The current chart was dated for May 27 and includes various hits from artists around the world. On its top spot, the chart was reigned by rising rookie girl group 'FIFTY FIFTY,' who managed to claim the No. 1 position with their viral hit song "Cupid."

The track made an impressive achievement on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, despite entering the chart for the first time. This accomplishment also makes FIFTY FIFTY the first girl group, as well as the first overall K-pop group to land a debut at No. 1.

FIFTY FIFTY rose to No. 1, which were simultaneously harmonized with their streams and physical sales. From the week of May 12 to 18, the figures revealed were at 65.1 million (2 percent down) and 2,000 (9 percent down.), excluding the United States.

In a separate note, FIFTY FIFTY is now the third K-pop group to secure No. 1 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, trailing the footsteps of iconic K-pop acts BTS and BLACKPINK.

On Billboard's Global 200 chart, "Cupid" reached a new high-ranking position on No. 2, after gaining a total of 81. 7 million digital streams and 4,000 sold outs worldwide.

The Global Excl. U.S. and Global 200 charts was established in September 2020. Both charts list songs from over 200 territories globally and rank them based on their activity in terms of sales and streaming performance.

Global Excl. U.S. chart gathers information from regions worldwide except for the United States, while Global 200 considers all territories.

FIFTY FIFTY Reaches New Peak on Spotify With 'Cupid,' Breaks BLACKPINK's Record

Apart from Billboard, FIFTY FIFTY has also set a new record for the highest figure of monthly listeners. On Spotify, the quartet managed to collect 34,307,590.

The announcement was made on May 19, when they surpassed BLACKPINK, who managed to reach 34,123,272 monthly listeners on September 26, 2022.

On May 21, FIFTY FIFTY's monthly listeners increased, resulting to 34,816,579. This feat led them to become the 86th most-listened-to artist on Spotify.

"Cupid" has also made breakthroughs on Spotify's Daily Global chart on May 17, when the track's "Twin Version" claimed No. 3, marking its 36th consecutive day on the chart.
