BLACKPINK Jisoo Halts Activities After Testing Positive For COVID-19

BLACKPINK Jisoo has been tested positive for COVID-19. YG Entertainment has released an official statement regarding her concert activities, which she will miss out for the time being.

BLACKPINK Jisoo Tests Positive For COVID-19, Sits Out Upcoming Japan Concerts

On June 1, Jisoo has been diagnosed with COVID-19, leading her to sit out their upcoming concerts in Japan, as announced by agency YG Entertainment.

According to their statement, Jisoo underwent a self-test on May 30 after exhibiting symptoms of mild cold. On her first test, the idol tested negative. Eventually, Jisoo was confirmed COVID-19 positive on June 1. Jisoo wanted to perform for BLINKs but decided not to take part in the concert due to her condition and the safety of audiences.

YG Entertainment stated that on June 3 and 4, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will proceed with their "BORN PINK" world tour concerts in Osaka, Japan as a three-membered group. They also encouraged everyone to support their approaching performances.

Lastly, YG Entertainment remarked that Jisoo's health will be prioritized. They also asked for everyone's kind understanding.

"Hello. This is YG Entertainment.

We are here to announce that on June 1, BLACKPINK member Jisoo has tested positive for COVID-19.

A self-test was made on May 30 after Jisoo showed mild symptoms of cold. Jisoo's first test resulted negative, but eventually, the results came out positive on June 1.

Jisoo showed her willingness to perform for fans, since she wanted to keep her promise to those who were waiting for her. However, she decided not to participate further to recover and prioritize her health.

Three of BLACKPINK's members, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé will perform in the "BORN PINK" world tour concerts in Osaka, Japan, to be held on June 3 and 4.

We understand how much fans have been looking forward to seeing BLACKPINK perform, and we will do our best to proceed as planned. We kindly ask for everyone's support and anticipation.

We will do our best for Jisoo's recovery, and also the health and safety of our artists.

BLACKPINK Lisa Confirmed Positive For COVID-19, YG Releases Statement

In other news, member Lisa also tested positive for COVID-19 in November 24, 2021.

In YG Entertainment's statement, BLACKPINK's maknae received the tests confirming a positive result. Meanwhile, the other three members also went through PCR tests, to which they were tested negative.

This also led member Rosé to cancel her schedules after Lisa contracted COVID-19. "In the future as well, we will not spare any expense to place the health of our artists and the staff around them first," YG Entertainment commented.
