TWICE Jihyo Confirmed Making Solo Debut With 'Killin' Me Good'

After numerous speculations circulating online, Jihyo is now confirmed to make her solo debut.

TWICE Jihyo Gears For Solo Debut, Scheduled to Drop on THIS Month, ONCEs React

On June 9, at midnight KST, TWICE announced a second teaser poster for "Killin' Me Good," finally confirming the start of leader Jihyo's solo career scheduled for August.

Jihyo's solo music was first hinted to fans on June 5, midnight KST, when TWICE dropped a mysterious teaser poster with "Killin' Me Good" as the title.

However, it was unclear for everyone on whose hand is in the poster. This led many ONCEs to investigate further, leading to their discovery that it possibly be Jihyo due to the hand's fingernail color, shape, and the picture's file name.

On Twitter, ONCEs gasped on the announcement. Although some claim they really were expecting Jihyo to be the person in question, it still hit different when confirmed.

Meanwhile, some fans also declared their anticipation for MiSaMo sub-unit, consisting of TWICE's Japanese line Mina, Sana, and Momo. Non-fans also expressed their excitement towards TWICE's upcoming releases.

TWICE Receives First-Ever RIAJ Double Platinum With THIS Song

In other news, TWICE also received their first RIAJ double platinum with song "Feel Special." The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) bestowed the certification after the track surpassed 200 million streams.

Amid all TWICE's achievements, the song is their first-ever track to earn them their double platinum certification. They were also joined by BTS, who received a gold certification of "Don't Leave Me," their 2018 Japanese track and BLACKPINK who went gold with "Pink Venom."
