Among girl groups, TWICE established their status globally as the first female artist to surpass 1 million cumulative (physical & digital) album sales in the US.

In particular, when TWICE's mini-album "READY TO BE," was released on March 10, its album total sales exceeded 153,000 copies, breaking the record of highest sales among K-pop girl groups in the US.

Aside from physical sales, the girl group also succeeded in cementing their position in the US digital chart such as ranking 2nd place in the U.S. Billboard main album chart "Billboard 200" on March 25 (local time). This is not to mention that the nonet maintained the seat for nine consecutive weeks, marking their best performance.

With this, TWICE once again proved their unrelenting, rather, getting stronger influence and fandom power around the world, especially in the US market, the center of the music world.

Earlier in 2020, in order to actively target overseas markets, TWICE signed a strategic collaboration with Republic Records, the No. 1 label in the U.S. selected by Billboard under Universal Music.

Three years after joining hands with Republic Records, TWICE continues to attract attention by achieving sold-out concerts, such as when they launched its fifth world tour, "TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR "READY TO BE" which boasts the largest scale and size of all time.

TWICE Breaks Personal Record After Group Quadrupled Previous World Tour's Size

As aforementioned, TWICE is currently embarking on its fifth world tour including in the US and as of this day, media outlets already lauded TWICE for breaking its previous world tour size record.

With the completion cost alone reaching 4.9 billion dollars (about 5.7 trillion won), TWICE raises expectations as it will hold a solo concert in the venue as a "K-pop girl group for the first time" on June 10 at SoFi Stadium, which is called the world's most expensive stadium.
