NingNing has officially opened her official account in Weibo on June 11, when the idol was welcomed by fans on the Chinese platform.

With aespa's skyrocketing popularity on the rise, the girl group didn't just manage to establish strong fanbases locally, but also internationally.

Shortly after opening each of their individual Instagram accounts to reach out on global audiences, NingNing has expressed her desire to mark closer contact with the group's Chinese fanbase.

On her account, NingNing uploaded a short clip where she acknowledged her presence in Weibo. Fans picked up on the clip and expressed their excitement over what NingNing has to deliver in the future.

According to their translation, NingNing stated, "Hello Weibo, I'm NingNing, Ning Yi Zhuo. I'm now on Weibo and I'll be sharing my daily happenings here from now on. Please look out for me, I love you."

NingNing also trended on Weibo's search list and the account has garnered around over 280,000 followers as of June 12, highlighting her massive influence.

In other news, aespa has been included in the artist lineup for Water Bomb 2023 Seoul, as announced on June 5. According to the festival's official SNS, aespa will also be joined by fellow K-pop artists such as Sunmi, Jessi, BTOB, HyunA, and many more.

The Water Bomb 2023 Seoul will be held from June 23 to June 25, when fans are expected to see their favorite artists perform on live stage and enjoy the event.

However, aespa's fandom MYs also got worried for maknae NingNing when they learned about the group's appearance.

Water Bomb is one of the most anticipated water-themed music festivals on Korea, and with this concept, water guns are normally present.

MYs quickly countered NingNing's upcoming appearance on the event, since they're concerned about her getting hurt, specifically on her eyes. NingNing once opened up on a variety segment with Vogue China that she had surgery on her right eye when she was younger.

Chinese media stated NingNing suffers from Acanthamoeba keratitis, a living amoeba that causes inflammation inside the cornea. This infection can lead to blindness and is known to be contracted from tap water, unfiltered pools, rivers, and sea water.

Fans are worried since in Water Bomb events, audiences would normally shoot performers with water guns.
