On June 16, netizens aired out their thoughts on which K-pop artists will win daesangs in 2023.
In the online forum, the original poster enumerated categories such as Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year. People commented the possible candidates for the grand prize, and most claimed that NewJeans would likely receive the awards with an "all-kill" streak.
Some mentioned that K-pop groups SEVENTEEN and IVE would compete to earn the grand prize in the category of Album of the Year with their albums "FML" and "I've IVE," respectively.
Others claimed that artists such as NCT and aespa would also be nominated for Album of The Year. They also concluded that it's too early to tell, since EXO's pre-orders for "EXIST" are still gaining momentum.

As for Song of the Year, netizens mentioned that the two major candidates would be "Ditto" by NewJeans and "I AM" by IVE. Meanwhile, they also stated that Artist of the Year would be filled in by SEVENTEEN or NewJeans.
