Will MIXX pop continue to grow on people? Here's what they're saying.

Stans Express Thoughts on NMIXX's Newest Track 'Party O' Clock,' Music Change-Up,' More!

On July 11, an online forum was made by netizens, who discussed NMIXX's newest comeback "Party O' Clock."

NMIXX quite had the rough start according to the K-pop community, due to releasing songs with self-titled genre take "MIXX pop." This sound was evident with songs such as "O.O" and "DICE." With MIXX pop, NMIXX's songs consist of mashing variety of music genres into one track, thus, landing both positive and negative feedback from listeners.

Its certain implementation gradually subsided in their previous title track "Love Me Like This," which offered a thump-beat driven and dance-based song. However, according to netizens in the discussion, "Party O' Clock" had finally hit the right notes.

Netizens described the song as dreamy, and even claimed that NMIXX had found their own uniqueness in terms of sound identity. Some also praised the girls' visuals in the MV.

"Sullyoon's face was honestly insane."

"The MV was f**king pretty and personally, I find that this song really showcased Lily's voice color. It was so dreamy."

"It was so refreshing, and it was better than 'Roller Coaster' in my opinion."

"NMIXX's best title track yet."

"It feels like they finally woke up with this song."

Meanwhile, some were not satisfied with "Party O' Clock," and remarked how it pales in comparison with the songs released by the current roster of fourth generation K-pop groups.

"Honestly they're way too behind even with a song like that if they want to compete with the 4th generation."

"Why do I feel like they're not from a big company. They have no buzz. It's the prime time for girl groups and they're still unable to hit big, I'm impressed."

"No matter what you say, O.O and Dice were more memorable."

On the other hand, some netizens also expressed that NMIXX's "MIXX pop" wasn't bad from the start, as the songs' parts embedding the genre just needed to be improved upon.

Fans also exclaimed that there will always be those who would never be pleased with NMIXX's releases, since the group will consistently drop another song containing MIXX pop, which will always depend on one's musical preference.

"MIXX pop wasn't a bad concept, it's just that one part of the song was always very weird sounding or polarizing."

"I swear K-pop stans will never be happy with NMIXX and what they put out. They will release a MIXX pop song again in the future and the same hate comments will remain."
