Jeon Somi Confesses She Almost Became Flight Stewardess If She Didn't Debut as Idol

On July 20, the YouTube channel "by PDC," hosted by Song Yoon Ah, released the second part of its interview with Jeon Somi, who initially appeared in the same show on the 13th.

While on the topic of being an idol, Song asked Jeon:

"What would you have done if you didn't do this job?"

Hearing this, the "XOXO" singer replied:

"When I was young, my future dream was to be a stewardess. Since I'm a mixed race, I can speak English and Korean, and I think it'll be fine. Even now, there are many times when I can't sleep on a plane, but when that happens, I go to the back and chat with the stewardess."

She then narrated:

"I would ask, 'I can't sleep. When are you going to sleep? Can you chat with me a little?' Usually, most of them would act very surprised and would check my condition. There are people who show their fan spirit, and there are people who would offer to give me something. I was so grateful to them that I took out my favorite doll key ring and gave it to them."

Jeon Somi said:

"The singers I always listen to were BIGBANG and 2NE1. The name Teddy is always included in the songwriting credits. So to me, Teddy was a mysterious person whose face was even non-existent to me.

However, by the time I changed agencies, I got a call first (from THEBLACKLABEL)."

Somi, who has been with the label since 2018 confessed how happy she is with her company, also citing one of the reasons she selected the company after being with JYP Entertainment.

"At that time, the company had Zion.T, but it was not a big company. He thanked us for coming with them, who has nothing. We were grateful for each other, and now we feel like a company and family.

I'm a familiar face to the public, but when I looked at my career, I looked like a white drawing paper. I heard that he thought I could draw well on it."
