Jeon Somi Confirmed Making Comeback
On June 2, agency THEBLACKLABEL officially announced that Jeon Somi is now gearing up for a new release.
"Jeon Somi is now preparing for her new comeback," THEBLACKLABEL stated. Notably, Somi's upcoming release will mark her first comeback in almost two years, after she released her first studio album "XOXO" along with its title track of the same name.
"XOXO" was released on October 29, 2021, and currently garners a total of 104,008,464 views on YouTube as of June 3. This is now her overall-third music video to surpass the 100 millionth mark, following "DUMB DUMB" and "BIRTHDAY."

Apart from her music releases, Somi is also busy with her other schedules outside of her career. On April 15, the "XOXO" singer showed her support for TWICE in the group's ongoing "READY TO BE" world tour, which kickstarted its first day at KSPO Dome, Seoul.

Somi is known for being good friends with TWICE members, especially Chaeyoung and Nayeon. TWICE and Somi go way back since their SIXTEEN days in 2015, where the artists competed together for the group's final lineup.
However, Somi didn't make the cut, leading her to go through numerous endeavors in project girl group I.O.I and finally, her solo career.
Despite their separate ways, TWICE and Somi have consistently showed support to each other in their respective careers, warming the hearts of fans.

In other news, the top soloist recalled on how Sana of TWICE supported her "DUMB DUMB" comeback.
On August 6, 2021, at 9 p.m. KST, Somi bonded with her fans through Blue Room Live on Twitter. Somi explained the choreography for "DUMB DUMB."
"There are lots of people who find the 'Batman dance' point choreography difficult. You just need to straighten up your shoulders and dance with confidence," Somi stated. "Most of all, the most important highlight is the eyes."
She continued by apologizing to fans who were anticipating her comeback, "I'm sorry to keep you guys waiting this long. Whenever I hear your kind words about how you love the new song, I begin to grasp motivation and work on the next project."

Somi then shared, "Sana unnie sent me a really cheerful message. Also, she sent me some ice cream as a gift, so I ate some earlier in the morning."
